Like most attorneys, I like talking about myself 🙂
But I wasn’t so sure about recording this week’s podcast episode.
I’ve had many people ask about the changes I made in 2017 and what’s coming up in 2018.
I don’t practice law full-time anymore, though, so I didn’t think it made sense to address my non-legal business with a group of lawyers.
Would it be relevant or helpful for me to take you behind-the-scenes and share my business decisions (and mistakes) in 2017 and what I’m planning in 2018?
The more I tried to convince myself that you wouldn’t be interested, I finally realized the truth.
I was hesitant to publicly share my failures because I was worried about what you would think.
And I was scared to announce my lofty goals because what if they didn’t work out as planned?
That’s when I knew I had to record this episode.
In our desire to appear to have it all together all the time, we hold back and don’t share.
Or, at least, that’s true for me.
I think we could all benefit from learning about each other’s mistakes and cheering on each other’s goals and dreams.
So, I’ll go first…
If you want to hear about my wins and losses from 2017 as well as my plans for 2018, you can listen to the episode here.
I’d love to hear from you, too.
What were your biggest lessons from 2017 and what do you have up your sleeve for 2018?
Leave a comment below and let me know.
We’re in this together!
All my best,
Heather
